What got you interested in this field?
The finance industry really piqued my interest during my first Economics and Tax classes at Albion. I saw the passion that my professors had for teaching college students how to make informed financial decisions and I resonated with that. This is the same passion that I see in my father and grandfather as they talk about the ways they invest. After Interning at CapTrust for a summer, I knew this was a field I would fit in. I find great value in sharing knowledge and truly believe that knowledge is power. I love that in this field I am constantly learning and challenging myself.
Family
I grew up in the Holland/ Zeeland area and love spending time with my parents and younger siblings when we can all be together for dinner or a boat ride. I really enjoy time with my grandparents who live in the area as well.
Hobbies and Relaxation
I absolutely love summertime in Michigan. Whenever I can, I join my family on our boat and go out on Lake Michigan.
After completing my collegiate swim career, I have more time on my hands and am looking forward to exploring new hobbies.
