Hometown

I’ve lived in Holland for a long time so it must be home, but having moved around a lot, my heart has many homes.

Travel

My husband is from India -where all of his family still lives- so we love to spend time with our family there and explore the variety and vibrancy of the subcontinent. (Not to mention that amazing cuisine!)

My heart feels more content when I’m surrounded by mountains, so I’ll always say yes to the Adirondack Mountains (especially in New York).

Seattle, WA was the first place I sunk down roots after college, and it stills speaks to me. I love the casual city vibe and the way it sidles up to the Sound and all those gorgeous mountains.

What got you interested in this field?

I became interested in this field when looking for a new job but not finding anything to be a good fit. My husband’s friend, now a co-worker, shared about this position and it piqued my interest. I love the detail and task-oriented work I do for clients, and I very much enjoy belonging to the CapTrust team.

Family

My family includes my outstanding husband, JP; my two teenagers, Leila and Reuben, who delight and make me proud every day; and our adoring golden doodle, Honey.

Hobbies and Relaxation

My favorite way to relax is with a good book. I always have a book with me just in case I can sneak in a few extra pages!

I do a lot of writing, mostly devotional writing and personal essay, for various publications and blogs. It is a gift that I’m always trying to hone, and one of the great honors and joys in my life.

I love recipes, cooking, baking, and eating it all (and laughing) around the table with friends. It never gets old!

Community Service

I have served in many capacities at my church, in my denomination, and in my children’s schools.
